[11/26 USD/JPY Scalping Points]
Nice work everyone! Let’s go with USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, the overview for today in Tokyo time.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 153.85. This morning it started around 154.15, but during the Tokyo session risk-off activity became clear as President-elect Trump announced tariffs of 10% on China and 25% on Mexico and Canada.
Demand for the yen rose slightly compared to the dollar, and we saw a drop to around 153.65, near the overseas session low from last night.
From there it rebounded a bit, and it looks like it may trade overseas about 30 pips lower than the morning level, as the baton passes to the overseas session.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Movements around the London market open around 17:00
● Movements around the New York market open around 23:00 (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Movements after the release of the United States New Home Sales and Consumer Confidence Index at 24:00
● Be mindful of headlines related to the Trump administration
● Be mindful of headlines related to Ukraine issues
For tonight’s 1-minute scalping, in addition to moves near market open, there could be opportunities after the 24:00 release of the US New Home Sales and Consumer Confidence Index. Users of the “1-minute Scalping Club” should be able to manage according to the theory. The US FOMC minutes release is scheduled for 28:00, but only if you can stay awake…
Also, the 15-minute short-term scalping, which has been showing larger selling that isn’t clearly justified in overseas time last night, suggests the Trump rally may be entering a consolidation phase, so there could be opportunities. If you can sell around the 154 yen area, we’ll set up positions.
