【11/19 Points for USD/JPY Scalping】
Good job today! Now let's do USD/JPY scalping again tonight!
First, here is today's Tokyo session overview.
Currently, USD/JPY sits around 154.50. The pair started this morning around 154.60, but during the Tokyo session, with Finance Minister Katō’s comments hinting at Yen weakness, it briefly dipped into the 154 yen range. However, buying interest near the 153 handle remains strong, keeping it in the mid-154s.
Yesterday, Governor Ueda of the Bank of Japan made comments that neither confirmed nor denied a further rate hike in December, leaving the probability of a rate increase at about fifty-fifty. This weighs on USD/JPY and has it in a bit of a stalemate.
It seems we’ll transition to overseas time roughly at the same level as the morning.
Now, here are tonight’s USD/JPY scalping points.
● Around 17:00, London market open movements
● Movements after the U.S. housing starts release at 22:30
● Movements around the New York market open (Dow opens at 23:30)
● Pay attention to headlines related to Trump’s potential future administration
Tonight, the 1-minute scalping will focus on the market open movements; although not highly watched, there should be opportunities after the 22:30 housing starts release. For users of the “1-Minute Scalping Club,” you should be able to manage according to the theory without issue.
Also, the 15-minute chart scalping, which is used for short-side selling, may present opportunities if there’s a rebound selling move. However, buying in the 153 yen range should be avoided due to strong buying interest there. The plan is to enter from around the mid-154s or higher.
Now, overseas time is about to start soon!
