Q38. What should I do to run an EA?
A38. Place it in the designated folder and enable auto-trading in the options
Open “File” → “Open Data Folder” → “MQL4” → “Experts” and put the EA file there. Then, in “Tools” → “Options” → “Expert Advisors” tab, turn on “Allow automated trading.”
Open the “Navigator” window, and from “Expert Advisors” drag and drop the corresponding file onto the chart
When you drag the EA file onto the chart, the EA starts running. The auto-trading button on the toolbar turns green, and the face icon at the top-right of the chart becomes a smile. To stop the EA, click the auto-trading button. Then the button turns red and the face icon becomes a frown.
