Good work everyone! Now, let's go with USD/JPY scalping this evening as well!
First, the overview of Tokyo time today.
Currently, USD/JPY is around 149.95. This morning it started around 150.15, but with Minister of Finance Nimura’s statements discouraging yen depreciation, it has moved in a way that limits upside.
Although there is a high-price caution, it seems like those who sold up are likely to see a buying back, so it doesn’t feel like a large drop will occur.
It seems that we may hand over to overseas time with about 20 pips lower than the morning levels.
I feel that shorts accumulated in Asia might be bought up by European and London players... what do you think?
Now, the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.
● Movement around the 16:00 London market open
● Movement after the 21:30 U.S. housing starts release
● Movement around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)
● Be cautious of U.S. officials’ remarks
Tonight’s 1-minute scalping, in addition to market-open movements, has low attention, but there may be a chance after the 21:30 U.S. housing starts release.
Also, personally I’ve felt that the moves right after the Dow open lately tend to be fake, so I’ll be a bit cautious.
Additionally, in the 15-minute scalping, the market currently seems resistant to decline, but if there’s a big-position adjustment selling by large players tied to weekend factors, there could be a chance.
