【10/11 Dollar-Yen Scalping Points】

Good work everyone! Let’s do dollar-yen scalping again tonight!

First, here is today’s Tokyo session overview.

Currently the USD/JPY is around 148.75. This morning it started around 148.55, and while there wasn’t significant movement during the Tokyo session, it remained steady in the upper 148s.

It is about 20 pips higher than the morning level and is likely to hand over to the overseas session.

The Asian low was around 148.40 shortly after 10:00.

Last night’s US CPI slightly exceeded market expectations, but it did not reach the big round 150, so there is a bit of resistance at higher levels.

Now, here are the points for tonight’s USD/JPY scalping.

● Movement near the 16:00 London market open

● Movement after the 21:30 US Producer Price Index release

● Movement around the 22:00 New York market open (Dow opens at 22:30)

● Movement after the 23:00 University of Michigan Consumer Confidence Index release

● Be mindful of statements from key US figures

Tonight’s 1-minute scalping will likely find opportunities around the market open, after the 21:30 PPI release, and after the 23:00 UMich Consumer Confidence data.

After last night’s CPI, moves were easier to trade, so we also have expectations for post-PPI movements tonight.

Also, for the 15-minute scalping, if there is large-position selling by big players before US data, I would chase it, but even into the London session tonight there isn’t much movement… this might be a休み (rest) for now.
