■Turning Point in Trading■ |
| Hayakawa |
Hello, Mr. Osawa. For the second installment of this video series, we’ve invited you as a guest who has achieved success as an investor. Mr. Osawa has experience consulting for a major listed company and now invests in US stocks and FX. Today, we’d like to ask about the turning point in trading, the concept of “Herd Psychology Trading.” Mr. Osawa, thank you for joining us today.
| Hayakawa |
Thank you. First, could you tell us in detail about this “Herd Psychology Trading” method?
■What is Herd Psychology Trading?■ |
Yes. “Herd Psychology Trading” is something I arrived at after trying various trading methods. When I started trading, I relied on many indicators and sign tools. Ultimately, those did not yield profits and often caused losses. So I paused and began to view the chart more from a broad perspective, asking what criteria traders around the world are using.

| Hayakawa |
What exactly does it mean to “look at the chart from a high-level view”?
Traders around the world do not all use the same signal tools or indicators, but what they commonly watch is the chart. The chart is a universal source of information for all traders. In addition, the position—the place where buying and selling occurred—is another key element. By understanding the positions, you can see the market flow.

■Reading the Chart and Position■ |
 | | Hayakawa |
| When we say “position,” how should we think about it concretely?
For example, look at the 15-minute chart of the Pound-Dollar you’re currently seeing. Can you identify where there is a selling position?
| | Osawa
| Hayakawa |
The fact that such a selling position exists is undeniable to any trader. Based on this information, predicting what happens next is the essence of Herd Psychology Trading. By looking at the left side of the chart—the past movements—and focusing on where positions were formed, you can forecast subsequent behavior.
| Osawa |
| Hayakawa |
So, past positions influence the market, correct?
Yes. For instance, when the current position on the chart moves toward a past position, the market tends to move toward that position. In such cases, rather than relying on signal tools or indicators, one should judge entry timing based on chart movement and positions.

■Keys to Profitable Trading■ |
| Hayakawa |
What is the most important factor to becoming a profitable trader?
It’s still about reading the position’s location and the market movement toward it. From past chart data, grasp where the positions are, and anticipate what happens when the market moves toward those positions. For example, if the market approaches a selling position, a reversal near that area is possible. Build your trading strategy by considering such movements.
| Osawa |
| Hayakawa |
That’s the foundation of “Herd Psychology Trading.”
That’s right. Since adopting this approach, my own trading results have dramatically improved.

■Differences Between Day Trading and Scalping■ |
| Hayakawa |
Mr. Osawa, you’re engaged not only in day trading but also in scalping. What prompted you to start scalping?
Initially I focused only on day trading. However, many viewers asked, “I’m忙しくてトレードする時間が限られている” about having limited time to trade. To help those people, I thought of a trading method that could yield results even in a short time, which led me to try scalping as well.
| Osawa |
| Hayakawa |
When we say scalping, we think of quick profits from very short-term trades. How exactly do you implement it?
That’s right. Scalping uses very short time frames like the 1-minute chart to aim for quick profits. It involves more frequent trades than day trading and requires faster decision-making. Even in scalping, the position remains important. Even in a short time, by focusing on the position’s location and entering around it, you can minimize risk while pursuing profits.
■Trading Within Limited Time■ |
 | | Hayakawa |
| For busy people, scalping seems to be an ideal method. The ability to find opportunities even with limited time is appealing.
Yes. For those with family or work constraints that limit trading time, scalping is highly effective. I also use scalping when I have limited time to trade.
| | | Osawa |
 | | Hayakawa |
| Why are there so few materials to learn scalping? What do you think is the reason?
There are very few traders who publish scalping know-how. In particular, professional traders’ methods are often veiled, making it hard to learn. So I decided to systematize the scalping techniques I have practiced and make them learnable for everyone.
| | Osawa
 | | Hayakawa |
| That is the material we’re featuring this time as the “Seconds-Scalp” course. In the third video, you’ll provide a detailed explanation of Seconds-Scalp, but could you touch on it a little bit?
Yes, the “Seconds-Scalp” uses the USD/JPY 1-minute chart in scalping. It provides concrete know-how on how to spot trading opportunities and enter. With this method, you can trade efficiently even in limited time.
| |
 | | Hayakawa |
| This method is very appealing for busy traders. In the next video, we’ll delve deeper into Seconds-Scalp, so viewers can look forward to it. See you in the next video.
 | | Hayakawa |
| Mr. Osawa, thank you for a very fascinating talk today. Viewers are likely to have learned a lot about Herd Psychology Trading and Seconds-Scalp.
 | | Hayakawa |
| Next time, Mr. Osawa will share even more practical scalping techniques, so please look forward to it. See you in the next video. |
