SBI’s Exchange VCTRADE is Developing a Cryptocurrency Wallet, It Has Been Discovered!
The announcement that SBI is developing it was made in a pre-release by Sepior, a company at the forefront of threshold cryptography.
October 22, 2018 - Sepior ApS, the leader in threshold cryptography for secure online trading, and SBI Group, a Japanese online financial services company actively expanding in Asia’s cryptographic market, announced that they will license Sepior’s Threshold-Sig Wallet Security technology at Money20 / 20 (booth 1379) and jointly develop a proprietary wallet to protect online content and transactions on SBI’s Virtual Currency exchange platform, VCTRADE.
Sepior’s threshold signature method, which uses multi-party computation (MPC), provides the highest level of cryptographic key protection for safeguarding encryption keys and corresponds to the most important criterion for securing online wallets and transactions.

Threshold cryptography is a technology that ensures anonymity and plays a role in privacy protection; for cryptocurrencies it is of great importance.
Typically, the technology known as multi-signature (multisig) in cryptocurrency involves preparing multiple secret keys and managing them by multiple people, but Sepior’s threshold signature uses a method where a single secret key is approved and managed by multiple participants.
