Trying to make a losing EA win is already a failure!
FX automated trading, the double E of EA developers in the Reiwa era.
Today's topic is,
It’s no good to try to make a losing EA become profitable!
That is the gist.
To put it bluntly,
“The moment you choose an EA,” the outcome is mostly decided.
I believe that this is not an overstatement.
Originally, because it is an EA that the developer likely built
when you obtain it, simply changing parameters
and attempting various adjustments will have its limits.
If there is no inherent advantage in the core logic,
just changing parameters won’t instantly make you win,
this is not a simple or sweet world.
To use a cooking analogy,
if you have fresh, newly harvested vegetables,
you don’t have to cook elaborate dishes
and you can still be delicious simply by sprinkling salt,
that might be the case, but
no matter how much you cook rotten vegetables,
it will not be something you can eat.
I think it’s similar to that.
Moreover,
an EA you obtain that is intricately cooked
will be difficult unless all parameters are unlocked
to begin with.
In that sense,
whether it is fresh or not rotten?
I think choosing an EA from that perspective is important.
Regarding EA selection,
it is explained at the following URL.
If the forward testing period is shorter than the backtest period,
you need to make some discernment based on backtest results,
and that is the method for evaluating backtests.
