Today, when there is some issue in EA operation or
when there is trouble, or when there is something you want to investigate,
this is a presentation of a mindset that can be helpful in such times.
Well,
if you have worked in a manufacturing factory,
you have probably heard the following words at least once.
"4M changes" (4M change points)
The 4M change points refer to a change point consisting of four Ms.
1. Man: the workers involved in product production on the line
2. Machine: the equipment such as machines involved in product production
3. Method: the method adopted to produce the product
4. Material: the materials and processed items used in the product
What is it used for, you may ask?
In a manufacturing plant, when a defective product occurs,
to determine the cause,
you examine whether there has been any change among these four Ms.
Doing so helps in root cause analysis of the defect.
In such a context,
if you replace this with EA operation...
People: differences among EA authors, differences in operators, etc.
Machines: differences among EAs, differences in accounts, VPS differences, etc.
Methods: simple interest vs. compound interest? differences in deposit/withdrawal methods, etc.
Materials: price movements, differences in rate feeds, differences in LP, etc.
When something occurs,
if you identify these change points,
you may get close to the cause quickly.
Well,
there is an important point here.
"The programs inside an EA do not get rewritten"
This is the point.
Even if the account using the EA changes,
the programs inside the EA do not get rewritten.
Even if the person using the EA changes,
the programs inside the EA do not get rewritten.
Even if the VPS using the EA changes,
the programs inside the EA do not get rewritten.
Even if there are differences between accounts,
it does not mean the EA program has been rewritten.
Recognizing these aspects leads to a more enriched EA operation.
