Sometimes we also borrow the power of ChatGPT (laugh).
It is by no means a sign of writer’s block at all,
there are plenty of notes and drafts,
and since整理 (summarizing) is bothersome, I handed it off entirely (laugh).
The “Kotsukotsu Dokan” problem of scalping and corporate life
Among FX, scalping methods are based on “gradually earning money.”
Scalping is a trading style that accumulates small profits in a short time,
and at a glance resembles a diligent office worker slowly increasing savings.
However, scalping carries unavoidable risks,
and that is the “Dokan” of the “Kotsukotsu Dokan.”
In other words, it refers to occasional large losses.
The hardship of “Kotsukotsu Dokan”
For a diligent salaryman who has saved steadily through hard work,
the sudden wipe-out of years of effort is an extremely stressful event.
For example, as a salaryman,
it would feel like being suddenly reassigned or transferred to a distant branch despite steady work.
In moments when uncontrollable “sudden events” make past efforts seem wasted.
This is very similar to the scalping “Dokan.”
When using an EA (expert advisor) for trading,
it is difficult to control entries and exits by one’s own judgment,
and as a result, large losses can occur.
In such times, a trader may feel similar anger as a salaryman who has been demoted or transferred.
Scalping is a method with risk in mind
However, the key point to understand here is that
scalping is a method that assumes the risk of “Kotsukotsu Dokan.”
What matters is not getting trapped by a temporary “Dokan,” but aiming for overall profit to be positive in the long term.
Scalping focuses on short-term trades, but it is designed as a strategy to make a profit over time.
In life too, trust and reputation built over many years can collapse with a single mistake.
This is a common topic in the news, but
scalping similarly has the characteristic that occasional large losses are unavoidable.
However, that does not mean it will ruin all of life.
The relationship between scalping and automated trading
When using FX automated trading, especially scalping EAs,
the system automatically executes stop-loss based on past data to prevent large losses.
Of course, sometimes there are large losses called “Dokan,” but
from a long-term perspective, such losses are often kept within the overall profit as a笑い話 (laughable story).
In other words, it is important to understand scalping’s nature and pursue long-term profits.
Even when large losses occur, rather than treating them as a “criminal,”
accepting them as part of overall growth and profits is a mindset for success in FX trading.
Summary: View scalping from a long-term perspective
Scalping is a method that gradually builds profit, but the risk of a “Dokan” cannot be avoided.
That is like a salaryman suddenly feeling that years of effort were wasted due to a demotion or transfer.
However, in FX automated trading, you are expected to operate with a pre-understanding of such risks.
Short-term, large losses may occur, but how you position them within the overall picture is important.
By staying calm, trading with a long-term view, and gradually increasing assets, you can succeed in FX automated trading.
