Trading pair discussed: USD/CAD, on the 15-minute chart.
Results
Short position yielded about 22 pips. Since a long setup appeared, we entered long and captured 10 pips.
→ Total around 32 pips gained.
Market Analysis
Because there was a similar downward move the day before, I expected today to follow a similar pattern, and I entered a short position.
Short entry.
→As anticipated, the drop with a similar range to yesterday occurred. Automatic exit at the green signal (opposite color).
Seeing the early move that suggested a possible long opportunity, I then entered long.
→Exited near the real body of the Buy zone, earning about 10 pips.
Today's Idea
What I often analyze is a rise/fall with roughly the same magnitude as last time,
and when it moves smoothly up or down, it often retraces about half of that move.
I considered these two points.
This kind of forecast, or analysis, becomes clearer the more you watch the chart daily.
