Trading using windows, the Canadian dollar gap has closed!
Canadian dollar,the window has closedーー!
I’m not very knowledgeable about technical analysis, and I just learned this the other day,the definition of a gap up is confirmed by the daily candlestick. When the weekend candlestick and the candlestick at the start of the week are formed in such a way that the wicks do not overlap, that is a gap up.
Last weekend, because there were reports of an agreement on NAFTA (U.S.-MCA), the market opened with a gap on Monday at the start of the week. Since the Canadian dollar rose throughout the day, the gap up was confirmed. That gap closed on Thursday in the New York market.
Because I mainly trade using fundamental analysis, when information comes out over the weekend, gaps may open. I had not used gap-based trading (which tends to close gaps with high probability) until now, but I think I might start considering it from now on.
