European leading money transfer service TransferGo says payments using Ripple technology are "changing people's lives"
Starting xCurrent Transactions from Europe to India in September
Currently, money transfer service provider TransferGo has 700,000 customers in 47 countries worldwide and processes 1.5 million transactions per year. The company joined RippleNet as of October 2017. This September, using Ripple’s blockchain technology, they began offering real-time transfers between Europe and India to their customers.
At SWELL, Mr. Dvilinskas explained: “We initiated the first xCurrent transactions from Europe to India thanks to our partnership with Access Bank (African-based). Ripple helped us build and manage this relationship.”
This new route could provide real-time transactions with the introduction of a single API. The smooth onboarding via API is one of the advantages of RippleNet. Mr. Dvilinskas stated the following:
“Before, it was 'this is my client, that is your client.' With blockchain, it becomes 'that is also my client, if your client is mine as well.'”
