Who is to blame for the yen depreciation? 1: the Prime Minister, 2: the President!

The recent yen depreciation progress has been attributed to Governor Ueda of the Bank of Japan(hereafter, the BOJ)and there have been many reports claiming that he approved the yen’s depreciation,5/7and after Prime Minister Kishida met with Governor Ueda, the governor revised his statements concerning the yen depreciation.

We will examine whether the yen depreciation is due to Governor Ueda and explain the government's policy stance and the future USD/JPY outlook.
