7/19(Fri) What is the reason for making the sentences longer?
This is Reiwa's Double-Eye EA developer.
Copywriting that sells EA,
Not only for EA,
but for selling products in general,
newsletter and landing pages,
launch copy,
you can see them in various places,
but have you ever felt that the text is overly long?
Personally, I feel it often ends up being, “What are they trying to say, really?”
Reading long sentences becomes tedious, so I skip or don’t read them
(If it's EA, you can roughly tell good from bad without reading)
I try to write concisely even for my own copy, but
I still see a lot of texts that feel overly long.
Then,
“Why are they so long?”
there seems to be a reason.
One thought might be,
“to pile on魅力 (appeal) abundantly”
“to maximize purchase intention”
I think that’s part of it,
but actually,
there is also a facet of “filtering out people who won’t read to the end.”
It seems that they want only the enthusiastic buyers to purchase.
Or,
since people who can’t read to the end tend to file more complaints,
they intentionally make the copy long to discourage purchases,
that seems to be another aspect.
So,
for purchasers,
whether long or not,
it’s important to train yourself to discern the true essence of a product!
With that said!
