I will talk about professional baseball players.

I feel that former Ichiro players and Darvish players, among others, have also said

there is the phrase “mind, technique, body,” and using that phrase

people often say things like “triad” or “balance.”

A more intuitive image would be that

if each of “mind, technique, and body” is refined to a high level,

one can perform at a high level in baseball games as well,

wouldn’t you agree?

However,

the top athletes in professional sports, such as former Ichiro and Darvish,

may not think that way as much as you might expect.

For example,

when they fail to hit in a chance.

Normally one would tend to blame the mental state, but

perhaps they were lacking a technique to compensate for the mental part,

and that is another way to think about it.

When the experience and skill of mastering technique accumulate,

there is a solid wisdom of technique like “if I swing this way now, the odds are higher.”

With such solid technical wisdom,

mental state can stay calm and the body can move freely,

and one might be able to perform as practiced.

Isn’t this true for FX as well?

In FX, the “technique” within the mind-technique-body is

undoubtedly a trading method.

In real trading,

it’s like a drama without a script,

most chart patterns aren’t clean, textbook-perfect.

Among that,

one tests and validates various trading methods in real trading,

deepens various experiences to gain insights,

and ultimately, for any pattern,

a kind of “wisdom of technique” emerges, such as “in this situation, do this trade.”

In such a way,

when this becomes your own personal wisdom,

it becomes a solid, unique trading method for yourself.

When that happens,

the mental state is unlikely to waver, right?

This is what it means to cover the mental with a body of skill,

I think that’s what it amounts to!
