6/19(Wed) It’s wonderful to see people who can make it with discretionary trading.
This is the Double-Eye EA of Reiwa by the FX developer.
Today’s article is as follows.
【Those who can trade discretionary are wonderful.】
When considering FX automated trading,
for example, if the profit factor is 1.3
it gives the impression that you can earn quite decently,
as I wrote in past profit factor articles,
the number 1.30 means
simply earning 1300 yen and losing 1000 yen,
and repeating that pattern to reach 1.30.
Then, when you replace this with discretionary trading,
you might earn 1300 yen and lose 1000 yen,
and within that, there are times you can suddenly earn 2000 yen or 5000 yen, but a profit factor of 1.30 means
even if you average a 1000 yen loss, there will be times you lose more than that,
for example, you could go a whole week without winning and keep losing,
(which might be called a slump)
in such back-and-forth trading,
you finally reach a profit factor of 1.30 through sheer effort,
I think that’s what it means.
(It’s true for EA as well, by the way)
With that in mind,
my personal feeling is
even if you intend to continue as a discretionary trader forever,
your mental state will not keep up no matter what.
Perhaps
you might feel the same way as well.
That’s why
I became an FX automated trader and then a developer,
which is how I got here,
and because of that,
I have immense respect for those who can make a living purely from discretionary trading,
it’s more than respect; I feel I could never do it myself.
I myself am also a discretionary trader,
having placed 10th nationwide in a trading contest,
but if you asked whether I could continue that every month, every year, for life,
I believe my mental stamina would not hold up.
To discretionary traders, I have only respect.
However
for those who find it hard to increase their assets with discretionary trading alone,
I believe my own journey of turning from a discretionary trader into an FX automated trading software developer
has something valuable to offer, and you might find it worth trying.
Well then!
