During Tokyo time, USD/JPY fell to as low as 146.54 due to a sharp decline in the Nikkei and a drop in U.S.10year Treasury yields,10then recovering to the 147 level as U.S.1010-year yields eased off. In European hours, with rising expectations that the Bank of Japan would abandon negative rates for the three-month period, the BoJ’s apparent omission to buy exchange-traded funds (ETFs) led to selling of Nikkei futures and increased yen buying and dollar selling, pushing USD/JPY down to147levels.NYTime, U.S.10year yields rose, lifting USD/JPY to147.14levels.
