The contents of the logic
Are mostly things that only EA developers understand.
In other words, a black box.

In such a situation,
“When will this position settle?”and
I become anxious
and sometimes end up manually settling
I think there are times when that happens.
Also, since the logic is unknown,
“When will I take a position?”
“Why did I enter at such a point?”
I think there are times when you think that.
Originally,
EA is automatic trading,
it trades automatically,
so you want to leave it alone,
and spend meaningful time elsewhere
in the meantime,
because if you lose a lot somewhere you don’t know,
you want to check the automated trading EA from time to time,
you can’t help but be curious
and you understand it well.
Well then, how can
even if you don’t understand the logic
you stay casual and trust it
and spend meaningful time elsewhere?

What is meant by “objective data”
is the results of backtests and forward tests.
“Know the correct method to evaluate backtests”
“Meet good criteria for backtests”
“Also choose good forward results”
That becomes the baseline,
so if you follow the correct evaluation method shown on the sales page,
you can tell before you buy whether you can trust it,
and that isn’t an overstatement.
For example, in a representative sense,
・Is the spread setting appropriate?
・Does the spread erase gains when combined with expected profit?
・Is it tick-based or something else?
・Is the backtest period from before 2006 up to the most recent?
etc.,
backtesting is not something to be dismissed.
For example, in school there are tests,
finally the exam (forward) determines the grade,
the problems resemble what you learned in class (backtests),
and if you review properly, you can get a fairly high score.
Getting a high score on the test without studying at all is just luck.
So,
for those who feel uneasy because they can’t see the logic,
it’s good to master backtesting evaluation methods.
