Nanpin EA is,

After taking the first position, if the market moves against you, a second position is taken.

At that point it becomes a “counter-trend” strategy,

and by holding multiple positions and eventually becoming net profitable in total position,

you close all positions to increase profits.

And

among Nanpin there is a Martingale method.

This is

If the first position is 0.01 lots, then 0.02, 0.04, 0.08…

you increase the lot size by multiplying, taking positions as you go.

In that process,

if the market comes back a little, the profit becomes positive, so

when you sum the pips gained from each position, it becomes negative.

Therefore

in Nanpin-Martin EA, you do not judge performance by total pips gained, and

it is not comparable to a normal single-position EA.
