If you compound 100,000 to 40,000,000 in 10/7, would 10,000 become 40,000,000?
FX automated trading, the Reiwa era’s Double-Eye EA developer.
Today’s question: “If compound interest turns 100,000 into 40,000,000, does 10,000 become 40,000,000?”"
So, let’s actually backtest and verify.
We will backtest with only changing the condition of the “initial margin.”
The above starts with 100,000 yen (lot size 0.1).
The result slightly exceeds 400,000,000.
Next, we started with an initial margin of 10,000 (0.01 lots).
The result became a value slightly above 140,000,000.
By the way, this is the result starting with 1,000,000 (1.0 lot).
It exceeded 600,000,000.
However, in the latter half of the graph, the green area is fully filled,
it was moving with a maximum of 100 lots (10,000,000 currency).
In other words, it was operating on simple interest,
and if you remove that cap, I think net profit would increase further,
I believe the broker’s maximum tradable lot is 100 lots, if I recall correctly.
So,
these backtest simulations are fun.
