AEA is about winning when you should win and losing when you should lose.
This is the Reiwa-era Double-Eye EA development speaking.
Today“To win is to win, and to lose is to lose as intended by EA”
This is the story.
Most of you probably think that
in EA’s wins and losses,
it feels like “winning is normal” and “if you lose, EA is faulty”
perhaps you have that feeling.
However,
there is no Holy Grail for EA, and by repeatedly winning and losing,
the goal is to achieve a long-term positive balance.
Within that,
while you win trades “as intended,”
there are times when trades turn into losses “outside of expectations.”
And,
you, dear users, may not be able to imagine, but
“even loss trades are being lost as intended.”
Perhaps it’s just me, but
in EA development, we also check
whether we are properly able to cut losses as intended.
If the loss trades in the backtest are as expected,
then in forward testing, we believe they will long-term remain profitable as in the backtest,
and so on.
Watching capital decline in the moment is painful, but
since there is no Holy Grail for EA, it is important to accept that and manage funds accordingly.
Of course,
we continuously strive to reduce losing trades through daily technical innovation.
Even with existing EAs, it’s not the end once you create them,
we aim to glean insights by developing new logic
and consider applying new approaches to existing EAs.
That is what we are thinking about.
