Today we will write an article on how to spot a good EA in one episode.

In simple terms,

when the Double-E in Reiwa looks at other EAs on Gogojan

this is a method to judge good or bad.

I have some personal likes and dislikes, so please understand.

With that said,

first, as expected, the forward looks the most noticeable.

It has a reasonable period and an upward trend.

Even if there is some drawdown, it is OK as long as it is within the maximum drawdown of the backtest.

After that, you can tell the type of EA or whether it is a risky one from the profit/loss graph, but we will skip that here.

Then we look at the backtest.

・From before the Lehman shock to the most recent

・There is a spread setting

・There is ample expectancy

・Recovery factor over 10x in 10 years

・It operates on the opening price

・Whether it excessively uses TP and SL

We judge by these.

Profit factor or win rate etc. are not important.

What matters more is whether it is not losing to spreads,

whether it can endure all sorts of market conditions over a long period,

and whether it has stability.

And they ask, whether it excessively uses TP and SL,

the reason is that

in various market environments and volatility markets,

it does not suffice to have a fixed, uniform TP and SL in pips anywhere.

The market is not that easy.

If you are a discretionary trader,

you would set take-profit and stop-loss for each trade each time.
