3/20 (Wed) Should EA be shut down during important economic indicators?
EA Developer Reiwa Double-1 is here.
Today's topic is
「Should EAs stop operating during major economic indicators?」.
To put it briefly,
「You can leave it running, but if you want to stop it, stop it」.
(Only for EAs developed through proper methods and backtested)
Now, I will explain in detail.
Originally, a properly developed EA shows
a long-term upward trend in backtests over extended periods.
Across various past market environments and chart patterns
it has risen steadily.
Among those, it has overcome many major economic indicators.
Therefore, there is no need to arbitrarily stop operating.
However,
if doing so would destabilize the user’s mindset and
negatively affect performance or cause problems,
it is better for mental health to stop, so
I think it’s prudent to stop.
Originally, EAs are automated trading systems, so they
should ideally operate without manual intervention,
and EA developers should design with that in mind.
However,
whether it’s machines or cars or anything else,
「The user is human」, so
let’s explore the most comfortable method for each person,
in other words, do what suits you best.
Well then!
