EA developers are the double-E here in Reiwa era.
EA developers are quite numerous just by being registered on Gogojungle,
but as far as I know,
there are a wide variety of people.
When you think of an EA developer...
from your image, you might think...
gaunt, wearing glasses, pale,
always sitting in front of a computer...
you might imagine that, but
that's not always the case.
There are people who are the complete opposite (laughs).
…by the way
If you look at Gogojungle's EA backtests
some have a maximum drawdown over 1 million yen.
and yet
the initial capital of the backtests is 1 million yen.
…that means at that lot size
depending on when you start the backtest
it could lead to bankruptcy immediately.
Usually a pattern with averaging down,
the maximum drawdown in averaging-down systems
tends to have a higher unrealized loss ratio.
Furthermore,
Gogojungle's forward test also starts at 1 million yen.
And the leverage is 25x.
“…how can you even list with such a lot size,
but for now, forward looks good.”
This is something I sometimes see.
Presumably,
they take forward in advance,
and when drawdown occurs,
so that the probability of drawdown starting from the sale is low,
and if profits accumulate with simple operation,
even if backtest assumed drawdown occurs,
they can show large profits without going bankrupt,
maybe that is their thinking.
As for me, Reiwa no Double-Eye,
Within Gogojungle's forward test of 1,000,000 yen,
calculated from long-term past backtests,
listing with the maximum possible lot.
For a single-position EA (max one position on one side),
usually 1 lot per 1,000,000 yen.
Also,
Gogojungle's forward has
leverage of 25x, so
by that calculation method,
Reiwa no Double-E's averaging-down EA
cannot take on so much lot size,
so the profits appear smaller.
