2/14－Implement partial discretion and handling at EA

From the EA developersThis is the double-e in the era of Reiwa.

This time,

"About adding discretion to EA"

I will share my own views.

First, as a premise,

most people who start with EA

tend to follow a pattern of

“transitioning from discretionary trading.”

They start FX, but have jobs,

and it’s hard to look at charts every day.

That is something I think is common.

In such a situation,

they encounter an EA that can

“trade automatically 24 hours a day.”

If this can make money, it would be easy!

And most of you reading this series

probably fall into that category.

However,

the share of people who profit from discretionary trading

is not even 10%.

and perhaps not even 5%.

…Putting this together,

“Because discretionary trading isn’t going well,”

“they start EA.”

I think that almost 100% of people

in this situation are like that.

Even after becoming an EA trader,

to add discretion to EA

and to keep winning is

quite difficult, I think.However,

watching an EA that aims for an overall profit while tolerating losses,

and seeing it dump losses in front of you,

is something you cannot endure easily,

and I understand that very well.

However,

when discretionary trading isn’t going well

and you start with EA,

adding discretion to EA is, in my view,

a considerably dangerous act.

Depending on the EA,

even if you manually cut losses,

the next bar may enter in the same direction again.

In such a case,

the overall winning streak of the EA’s internal logic

could collapse, and

the original performance may not be realized as strongly.

However,

this is only true for an EA that was developed in a proper, legitimate way.

As for Reiwa’s Double-E, we aim to have

users continue to support us for a long time,

and to define in our own Reiwa-era way

what constitutes a “proper way to develop EAs.”
