During 5/9 (Thu), while the EA is running, if you perform discretionary trading on the same account, will it affect the EA?
EA Developer Reiwa Double-E is here.
Today we will explain in a Q&A format.
(Asks the Questioner)
Thank you for your time.
On an MT4 account where an EA is running,
when the EA enters a trade,
I would also like to perform discretionary trading.
In that case,
will the EA get closed out (closed positions),
or will there be any impact?
(Reiwa Double-E)
There isn't any particular issue.
EA positions and discretionary positions are
identified within MT4, so it's fine.
However, for an EA account with proper risk management,
there is a concern that the necessary margin required for the EA to enter could be insufficient,
which could lead to such a situation,
so please manage it carefully.
