【How many trades are we talking about?】

With that in mind,

an EA that trades 100 to 200 times a week

with a single logic is basically unimaginable.

I have developed many EAs, but

realistically, there isn’t enough edge to extract a sustained advantage at that level.

Even trading once a day would be considered a lot.

Five trades a week, 20 trades a month, 240 trades a year. 2400 trades in 10 years, 4800 trades in 20 years.

When looking at backtests on sites like GoGoJungle,

surprisingly, many have fewer trades than one might expect.

In short, as a single logic, there is only so much you can extract from a chart in terms of edge,

and I’d like you to keep that image in mind.

“Super-high-frequency trading that humans cannot do!”

“Profit in a second, or even a fraction of a second!”

and so on

EAs may evoke such images, but

in reality, they are often about systemizing discretionary trading,

that is, programming the logic thought up by humans,

so,“profit in a second, or a fraction of a second!”

is not impossible, butyou could get banned by brokers, so better not to (lol).
