Why He Keeps Broadcasting His Live Trade Sessions Daily
Kunikai: The name Kano Trader has become famous because there are people who are actually winning live. For those who don’t know him yet, could you tell us what kind of broadcasts you typically do?
Kano Trader (hereafter, Kano)First, to state the purpose of broadcasting: historically, there weren’t many people doing live FX broadcasts. I have various FX products, but I’m basically just an ordinary person with no background such as working for a securities firm, so I wanted to build some kind of track record. The FX industry tends to be viewed with suspicion, I think. So, by trading live and broadcasting exactly where I take profits, where I place limit orders, where I place stops, etc., viewers would be convinced, I believed, so I started broadcasting.
Kunikai: I’ve watched a few times. You usually broadcast for many hours, right? You mainly show the chart, viewers chat, and then you come on for an explanation in the last hour or so.
KanoYes. In the live broadcast, the latter 20 minutes or so each day, I provide explanations and mini-lectures about how to win, what to do to win, etc.
Kunikai: From what I’ve seen, you display three currency pair charts, including your positions and future orders, in a continuous format, correct?
KanoYes, what’s on screen is the OANDA Order Book indicator. Have you heard of it?
Kunikai: I’ve worked with OANDA for a long time and have interviewed their Order Book before.
KanoI see. Using that Order Book, I show limit orders, stop orders, and market orders. The strength of live broadcasting is that it’s real-time. It’s easy to claim “I won later,” but in a live stream you can’t cheat because everyone is watching the same screen and trading under the same conditions—it's very fair in that sense.
Kunikai: Isn’t broadcasting every day a lot of work?
KanoIt is demanding, but if I skip occasionally, people might misunderstand that I only broadcast when I’m doing well. So, whether I’m busy or not, I’m committed to broadcasting every day.
Kunikai: It seems extremely risky to disclose your own orders and trades, yet you continue. Is there a special passion behind this?
KanoI had been looking for a channel like this myself. There are many people online claiming they’re winning, but none show real-time entries. There are edited videos, but it’s hard to know if they’re truly winning. If I were a viewer, I’d wonder what to trust. I wanted to reveal where I enter and exit trades, how I think, in real time, through live streams and chat, to maximize realism. I looked for such live streams or sites myself, but none existed, so I decided to create them myself.
Kunikai: Since there weren’t broadcasts you wanted to see, you decided to create them yourself. That’s impressive initiative. Now, could you recap the method you’re currently publicly sharing on your broadcasts?
