NYSE closing prices (one day) Nikkei futures after-hours trading (September 4 after-hours)
The weekend in the NY stock market was mixed, with morning gains followed by selling pressure ahead of the three-day weekend.。
Although the opening rose (Dow rebounded),bond prices fell sharply during trading (yields rose), weighing on the market, and the tech-led Nasdaq sank into negative territory.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rebounded; with rising commodity prices, related stocks such as Caterpillar and Chevron rose, and US chemical stocks also stood out.
Nikkei futures after-hours trading closed 60 yen higher than the previous settlement, trading above the daily chart's cloud upper band.
The week-on-week positive trend is seen in Nikkei futures after-hours trading, the three major indices, and the Semiconductor SOX index, etc. (see below).
The week-on-week negative trends were in public stock indices, the VIX index, etc. Risk-taking behavior was more evident than risk aversion.
