The fact is that successful traders are mostly trend-following; contrarian traders are mostly technique-driven
A successful trader tends to rely heavily on trend following
Because trend following suits any market, after all, the FX market tends to demand it
The number of contrarian traders becomes overwhelmingly large
And there are more opportunities to trade contrarian strategies
Because the profitability also increases with frequency
Contrarian trading becomes more common
If that happens, it’s natural that market conditions favoring trend following will arise
And the contrarian traders who had been boosted by those conditions will be wiped out
Trend-following traders don’t get swayed by short-term emotions
They survive by grabbing profits in that market
That’s really all there is to it; there’s nothing more to it
When talking about the market, what’s obvious is the fundamentals and the skill to survive
Only the contrarian traders with strong techniques survive
Ultimately, what matters is whether you are truly proficient
If you’re not proficient, you’ll eventually stumble
If you can trade without hesitation, that’s real mastery
If you’re growing it, you should be able to survive with it
In that sense, I also want to recommend trend following
