【FX】Foreign traders' techniques are in-trend trading; Japanese traders' techniques are contrarian trading
As has long been said,
Japanese are often called gullible by foreigners
That comes from the difference between Japanese short-term strategies and foreigners' long-term strategies
The timeframe needed for profits in FX is first different
Foreigners require a 1-hour timeframe, but
Since Japanese prefer scalping, they need 1-minute or 5-minute timeframes
I want to compare with past markets,
but the market viewed on a 1-hour chart is completely different from that viewed on 1- or 5-minute charts
Short-term strategies have more trading opportunities, but are more prone to being swept up in noise
In other words, even the trading methods themselves tend to result in more losses
If you switch to a mid-term timeframe,
the number of opportunities decreases, but so do the occurrences of losses
I want you to consider
What traders actually want? We must think about it
It is profits and capital growth
If that’s the case, focusing only on scalping isn’t a particularly wise strategy
Though the market is events that happen in an instant, it moves throughout weekdays
Therefore there is no need to cling to short-term timeframes
But that does not mean there is a need to adopt the long-term timeframes like foreigners
However, trading only on short-term timeframes, as explained, has many disadvantages
If you want to make a living from trading or want to grow your capital
The most realistic style is from mid-term timeframes, combining scalping to day trading
