Stock Talk Kabushiru 8月28日のマーケットライブ・動画URL【今週のマーケットライブ、25日NYクロージングベル】
Good morning, I look forward to your continued support this week as well.
Closing of the NY stock market, Nikkei futures and after-hours trading
Over the weekend, the NY stock market ended with continued declines in the transports index, but overall closed higher.
At the international economic symposium hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Chairman Powell's remarks did not bring major changes to the usual content, and no new keywords were used for Jackson Hole.
There was no fresh impetus from clues, and demand was biased toward buying as the session closed; the gains and losses of the indices were varied, but the volatility subsided by early trading.
Among individual companies, Marvel Technology, AltaBeauty, and Nordstrom released earnings and were weak, but buying came into Johnson & Johnson and McDonald's.
In semiconductors, Nvidia fell back while Taiwan Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices, and Intel rose, and the SOX index remained positive.
Nikkei futures after-hours trading closed 220 yen higher than the August 25 settlement; the daily chart and the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo conversion line are above, but breaking through the 5-day moving average will be carried over to next week.
Compared with last week, the gains are seen in Nikkei futures after-hours trading, the Nasdaq composite, and the S&P 500 (see below).
Compared with last week, the losses are in the Dow Jones industrial average, Dow transports, Russell 2000, and the VIX index. Cyclical stocks and small-cap stocks saw notable selling.
The high was 31,890 yen (4:01 AM on the 26th), the low was 31,610 yen (0:03 AM on the 26th).
