Starting distribution again from the 14th. This weekThank you in advance as well.
NYSE close; Nikkei 225 futures and after-hours trading
The NY stock market over the weekend was mixed among the three major indexes; the Producer Price Index (inflation indicator, PPI) surpassed market expectations, and the decline in U.S. Treasuries (yields rising) weighed on stocks.
SOX semiconductor index fell about 2%, the drop in Nvidia, which will report earnings on the 23rd, and the rise in U.S. 10-year Treasury yields contributed to a Nasdaq-driven selling pattern in weekend trading.
Energy and pharmaceutical sectors rose, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average and contributing to gains in positive territory.
Crude oil prices (WTI) rose into the $83 range, Chevron and Caterpillar advanced, Eli Lilly and UnitedHealth Group also rose.
On this day, the trend of rising natural interest rates and the expectation of fewer rate cuts in 2024 (longer tightening) were topics of discussion.
Nikkei 225 futures and after-hours trading were negative, the daily chart and the upper bound of the Ichimoku cloud could not be surpassed, and the decline in US tech stocks affected weekend trading.
Week-on-week gains were seen in three items: Nikkei 225 futures and after-hours trading, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Dow Jones Transportation Average.
High of 32,815 yen (10th 23:09), low of 32,430 yen (12th 04:56).
