USDJPY version of "Giga Garula" has arrived!
Both are EAs with nine entry logics and three strategically averaged-down positions.
◆What are the differences in the profit-and-loss curves between the EURUSD version and the USDJPY version?
Backtest data confirms the differences in annual earnings for each version!
Blue: EURUSD
Red: USDJPY
On an annual basis, the EURUSD and USDJPY profits appear to be inversely correlated.
The total profit/loss per 0.1 lot is much higher for EURUSD, but when EURUSD profits are low, the USDJPY version tends to be higher and provides good coverage.
Therefore, I think it makes for a good combination for portfolio management as well.
The required margin per 0.1 lot is,
EURUSD: (5×3 positions) + (max drawdown 6×2) = 27
USDJPY: (4.5×3 positions) + (max drawdown 4.6×2) = 23
That is the result.
To be safe, EURUSD can be operated at 0.1 lot per 300,000 yen,
and USDJPY should also be fine at 0.1 lot per 250,000 yen.
Backtest results when running both at 0.1 lot simultaneously are shown here
The 10-year average annual earnings are ¥467,000which corresponds to an annual return of 84%!
If you had to choose one, I think EURUSD has better performance, but
Even buying two would cost 32,000 yen,
If you're looking for a portfolio, please do consider it!
