NYSE closing price, Nikkei 225 futures, after-hours trading

The NY stock market over the weekend rose across major three indices, buoyed by cooling inflation indicators in the US and Europe.

Under the influence of the reports on the Bank of Japan's YCC adjustment on the 27th, the market had fallen, and the rebound contributed to a nearly all-encompassing gain as the weekend trading closed.

Individual stocks: Intel, which announced earnings on the 27th, rose 6.5%, while P&G, reported before the market, rose 2.82%, suggesting expectations for next week's earnings season (especially Apple).

Public sector indices were slightly negative; on a weekly basis, only the public sector index declined, while other indices were mostly higher than the previous week.

Nikkei 225 futures after-hours trading rose, U.S. stocks rose, and the dollar's cover-buying supported a rebound to the 33,000 level.
