A healthy mind resides in a healthy body
A healthy mind in a healthy body
You’ve probably heard this famous saying before.
The idea that if the body is healthy, the mind is healthy as well.
However, doesn’t it give the opposite impression for an FX trader?
Sitting in front of a computer for long hours, watching charts, waiting for opportunities.
Eye strain, stiff shoulders, back pain, lack of exercise…
Are you being forced into a lifestyle that is the complete opposite of health?
Historically, humans moved about and hunted to live, so long hours at a desk aren’t suitable for us.
Staying seated all the time naturally causes physical problems.
However, acquaintances who are entrepreneurs and presidents are different.
They go to the gym every week to build their bodies, engage in some sports, and regularly move their bodies to improve circulation, keeping their minds clear for focused work.
FX, since it is work, cannot be about admitting weakness by saying your body hurts.
However, sitting all the time makes concentration wane and performance naturally decline.
To address these, I adopt the strategy of “setting specific times to look.”
Indeed, the market is alive, so you never know when a chance will come.
But,if you follow a method with a certain regularity and only target that, you can respond.
I prepare for the 2:00 PM opportunities by doing other work, stretching, or taking a walk until then.
Since the tasks are decided, I relax while watching the chart and enter positions calmly.
If things end quickly, within about an hour, I wrap up the trade and then spend time on hobbies and enjoy personal life.
Of course, everyone has a trading style they’re good at, but this style suits me best, and I believe it can balance a healthy body and a healthy mind.
It’s ultra-simple and you can enter at the exact same point as everyone else.
