Mentality of traders who continue FX
Shall I say it suddenly, but I used to play soccer in the past, and I especially like the Belgium national team.
With the likes of De Bruyne, Courtois, Hazard, and Mertens as the team's star players, at one point they topped the FIFA rankings as an indicator of national teams' football strength.
Among them, I especially love forward Romelu Lukaku.
With a superb physique over 190 cm, he massed goals without getting outmatched, and I used to imagine if such a star player were in Japan...
However, in recent years, perhaps due to mental health issues, there were many moments where he missed scoring opportunities, and he faced a lot of criticism at the World Cup.
Even top players like him show that mental care is important to always perform at the highest level.
I think the same can be said for FX (foreign exchange trading) as well.
From the current price, the two outcomes should be up or down, but for some reason when I entered, it moved against me immediately, or after I hit stop loss it then moved in the direction I expected.
Haven’t we all experienced this?
Would it have been better to switch positions when it moved against you?
Would it have been better to make the stop loss a bit larger?
I don’t know the answer.
However,one thing I can say is that traders who constantly change their methods or touch a predetermined stop loss will almost never win.
If you can't maintain your mindset, your method will keep veering, and if you don't have a solid axis inside, you can't even properly verify it.
When discretion creeps in or you interpret things in a way that suits you, you can't perform a correct verification, and you won't understand the superiority of the method.
