Angel Premium Rich: High-performance EA with 1-position operation!
Well then
Today I’m going to write about Angel Premium Rich (ANGEL PREMIUM RICH).
This EA was sold as the successor version of AngelHeart USDJPY.
For details, please refer to the product overview, but this EA tends to make sharp profitable exits, while also taking sizable drawdowns, lol.
Angel Premium Rich has been in operation at our place since February 12, 2018, up to the present.
Graph progression

Cumulative total +254,219 yen (+330.6 pips)
The volatility is a bit rough at times, but it shows a fairly nice upward trend.
However, this Rich has sometimes drawn criticism from operators who say they can’t win at all, indicating profits vary depending on the operator.
I also felt there might be some discrepancy between backtests and real results, but since it was steadily in the plus, I didn’t worry about it much.
Recently, a bug was found in the entry logic, and it seems that this caused performance to vary among operators.
A corrected version was released, so I ran backtests to compare it with the previous version in various aspects.
Then...
First, the EA settings I used were as follows.
Entry_Level=0, Wave_Level=0
Under these conditions, I performed backtests
Period 2010/01/01–2017/12/31, Spread 5 points, Lot 1.0

Compared to the old version, the number of trades increased by about 50, and the profit rose by nearly 10%.
In the new version, with 2 positions, over 8 years, profits exceed 9 million yen, which translates to about 1.14 million yen per year.
When evaluating an EA, I often reference the annual profit per position, and since this EA can operate with up to 2 positions, the per-position profit is about 570,000 yen. It’s above 500,000, which is quite good.
This Angel Premium Rich can be set to 1-position mode, so I also tested the 1-position performance via backtesting.

In the new version, the number of trades increased by about 700 compared with the old version, and profits changed by about 1.5 million yen.
The difference between 2-position operation and the changes in the new/old versions is clearly large.
Now, what’s noteworthy is the profit potential of the new version.
Converted to yearly terms, it comes to about 730,000 yen per year, which is actually quite an excellent figure.
For USD/JPY related EAs, Dragon Scalper typically earns around 630,000 yen per year, and One Shot around 560,000 yen.
Remarkably, among the USD/JPY EAs I hold, this one tops the profitability chart.
※ BravePointGetterUSDJPY earns over 1 million, but I’ll exclude that for now.
The annual trade count also exceeds 360, meaning about one trade per day on average.
Next, I proceeded to further validate the 1-position operation.
When moving from the old version to the new version, some parameters were changed. In the old version TP1=30, TP2=40, but in the new version TP1=20, TP2=30.
The above backtest results were for default values, so to align the TP values between old and new, I retested the new version with TP1=30.
