Among many moving averages, in an uptrend,

there are certain widths of lines thatact effectively as support lines during pullbacks and serve as lines of support at a certain width.

Also, in a downtrend,

there are lines thatfunction effectively as resistance linesat a certain width.

In other words, if in an uptrend the price breaks below the support line, a downtrend begins, and

if in a downtrend the price breaks above the resistance line without bouncing, an uptrend begins.

In short,the support and resistance lines turn into turning lines.

This concept also applies to indicators.
