AndYoshihiko TVas I watch, I dive into the release of the US employment statistics; Non-Farm Payrolls came in at 164,000 versus 192,000 expected, which was worse, but the previous month was revised up from 103,000 to 135,000, so total was slightly positive.
The United States is near full employment, but the unemployment rate, expected at 4.0%, came in at 3.9%, slightly better, and as for the average hourly earnings, which has drawn the most attention since the previous year, the expectation was 0.2%, but it came in at 0.1%, a disappointing result, so overall it was difficult to determine whether it was positive or negative.
From such an ambivalent indicator result, I approached US employment statistics trading with a mix of long and short rotations, and due to my misjudgment, perhaps because this year’s omen was good luck, I had been winning since the beginning of the year with employment statistics, but I ended up slightly losing and felt a stumble.
Since the start of the year, the record for the US employment statistics stood at 5 trades, 4 wins, so I want to look forward to next month.
