"Wave Riding Stock Investment Method" Birth Secret Story Part 5, Diet Secret Story
Good evening, this is Shimoyama.
How is everyone's trading going?
October is a period where stock price movements tend to be relatively scarce,
but this year, due to factors like historic yen weakness
I thought there would be more movement in stock prices than usual
but then,
the foreign exchange market also slowed with intervention vigilance,
and in the end, it was a month when stock prices didn’t move much.
That’s my impression.
With that in mind, November is a month with a very large number of earnings announcements—second only to May and February—
there are 702 earnings announcements on November 11.
This is probably the time when stock prices move the most toward year-end, I think, so
it would be good to adjust your position balance accordingly and
keep in mind a strategy for the year-end as a guide
and have that mindset as well.
Now, this week's YouTube includes,
・Healthy too! My dieting secret story
・The birth story of "Wave Riding Stock Investment Method" Part 5
I talked about these two topics.
□■ Weekly Update: Healthy too! My Diet Secret Story □■
This Tuesday, I shared my own dieting experiences.
Some people might think it’s unrelated to investing
Actually, dieting and investing are quite similar,
・Consistency is important
・Many people fail
and there are many common aspects.
(There are other similarities as well, discussed in the video.)
How I personally achieved dieting success
The mindset that leads to success
is almost identical to the mindset needed to win in investing
and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they’re the same.
Especially for those who bend the rules
or have weak mental fortitude,
this content is likely to resonate.
Please take a look.

Now, one more video,
□■ Thursday Update: Birth Story of the “Wave Riding Stock Investment Method” Part 5 □■
This is the fifth installment of the birth story series.
Last time I talked about the reason why the width in the same direction exceeds 3%.
This time I’ll discuss the idea of taking profits.
How much should I take profits at?
I receive so many questions like this.
People who trade with the typical win/lose approach compute profits using
Risk & Reward × Win rate
and that’s how they calculate profits.
However, achieving profits with that formula is really tough, and I don’t recommend it much.
I explained in detail the profit-taking concept in Wave Riding Stock Investment Method,
so please take a look at this.
