Among the many moving averages, in an uptrend,

there are certain width lines that function effectively as support lines during pullbacks (support lines).

Also, in a downtrend,

there are certain width lines that effectively function as resistance lines during retracements.

In other words, if price breaks below a support line in an uptrend, it signals the start of a decline,

and if price breaks above a resistance line in a downtrend without being pushed back, it signals the start of an uptrend.

In short, the support and resistance lines become turning lines.

This concept also applies to indicators.
