Function Description
The cash flow statement is one of the financial statements, showing how money enters and leaves a company through various activities.
In this feature, cash flow trends are presented as a chart in a form where balances can be confirmed, allowing an understanding of the company’s financial situation.
Description of the Cash Flow Chart Diagram
Red Bar…Operating CF: cash that increased or decreased due to the company’s core business activities.
Green Bar…Investing CF: cash that increased or decreased when investing in equipment and other assets.
Blue Bar…Financing CF: cash that increased or decreased due to funding activities such as loans and repayments.
Yellow Bar…Cash and other balances
The bar gradient represents cash increase or decrease.
Bars coloring upward indicate cash increase, bars coloring downward indicate cash decrease.
Description of Setting Options
- Use Cash Flow Chart…When this is ON, a Cash Flow Chart button will be displayed on the individual stock’s Earnings tab page.
By default it is ON. If this feature is not needed, uncheck it. - Automatically display chart…When this is ON, the cash flow chart will be displayed automatically when opening the Earnings tab page for an individual stock.
By default it is OFF, and it is displayed when the cursor hovers over the "Cash Flow Chart" button. - Show for all periods…When this is ON, periods not shown in the cash flow trend table will be drawn on the cash flow chart as well.
※Stock Screener login is required.
By default it is OFF, and only the three periods shown on the screen are charted.
All periods display can also be toggled on the screen.
- Tooltips…When this is ON, numbers will be displayed in a bubble when the cursor touches a bar. This bubble is called a “Tooltip.”
By default it is OFF.
- Debt Leverage…When this is ON, a line for the interest-bearing debt ratio will be displayed on the cash flow chart.
Interest-bearing debt ratio is a metric indicating a company's ability to repay debts, calculated as “Interest-bearing debt ÷ Operating CF.”
For small and medium-sized enterprises, a value below 1.0 is said to be standard.
By default it is OFF.
