An Interview column now published on TOYOKEIZAI ONLINE — Announcing survey results! (Last year's performance of individual investors)
Good morning, this is Matsushita.
Thank you very much for waiting.
At the beginning of this month,
we conducted the
Newsletter Readers Survey
and the results of the "2017 Individual Investor Performance Report"
In this survey results, you can learn
and understand the following contents.
○ The distribution ratios of Japanese individual investors in stocks, FX,
and commodity markets
○ In 2017, what proportion of investors in each market made a profit, and what proportion incurred a loss?
○ For each market, what proportion of investors overall made a profit and what proportion did not?
○ For investors who are profitable and those who incur losses,
what are their respective causes and reasons
and what is the secret behind them...
○ The common causes of investor losses each year,
and the reasons for profits?
○ Ultimately, what should individual investors do to
make a profit?
○ Do graduates of Makoto Investment School
make a profit?
and so on
This survey continues to improve and enrich year by year,
and this year marks the fourth year since its inception.
As with anything, by understanding things incrementally and
continuing to observe and measure numerical data,
the essence and real state of things become evident.
This is valuable data that cannot be provided by other schools or companies
or seen elsewhere, so please take your time to
view it carefully and, for future profits,
know what to do and put it into practice.
