EA's Real Account Operating Status (May 2022)
【Role and main purpose of FX】
The FX division is largely composed of discretionary trading (GOLD & JP225 & fiat currencies), Gogojun-EA forces (one-position), multi-position EA forces, averaging-down EA forces, and loop-type EA management.
The main goal is to travel abroad, not to devote oneself to FX, so like all EAs, this should not obstruct the journey.
【EA report for May 2022】
For each EA's official and real performance, please refer to the separate EXCEL file in the appendix.
(Thoughts on operating EA & how to survive)
1. Do your own BT (backtest). Those who cannot do this may eventually disappear.
2. Be able to analyze and accept the differences between official and BT/real results.
3. Choose EAs appropriate for the asset and be able to adjust LOTs, and do not overestimate EA.
4. Set reasonable LOTs (it's a battle with desire, so if your heart screams, that LOT is probably wrong. If you don't scream, 1 LOT or 2 LOTs are fine).
5. Build the environment (broker selection, SET file changes, etc.).
6. Even if the official results are good, some EAs perform poorly in real trading—reality.
7. Encounters with compatible EAs (for example RECOBA has many sales and good reputation, but since it is not compatible, I am not using it; not because the EA is bad, but because I am bad).
8. Since not many will operate for long, observe for the long term (anyway many people fail with LOT and exit when they cannot withstand drawdown).
9. Even with the same EA, you cannot expect the same results as others—the reality is influenced by various factors.
There is no real perfect solution in FX, and the same goes for EA operation... something like this.
Therefore, even if there is a shout of frustration in the community, not much impact lately. The opposite is also true...
So I think it is possible to achieve around 1000 PIPS per month with a one-position EA (profits and losses depend on how you adjust LOT).
If you want to earn more, think differently from others. Is it necessary to put large LOTs into simple EA management???
(May overall EA status)
The EA lineup is almost the same as last month (there may have been little change since the start of the year).
The Russia issue continues, but it looks like a relatively good month for EA.
It feels like adjusting LOTs to match the EA wavelength. There was a period of over-aggression, but now I have switched to FLAT.
■ Early May
There was Golden Week, and people worry during the week, but it progressed normally. However, May 13 (Fri) was quite a volatile day. In the community, cries of frustration rose. My EA configuration passed through with moderate wind.
■ Late May
In the 3rd week, the performance improved sharply thanks to the English deity's activity, and anomaly-type EAs regained momentum.
When Pound-related EAs click, PIPS are large, and profits improve rapidly.
May 31 looked like a bonus day for all EAs.
This month featured notable activity from the cat MON-GBP that had stopped selling and the English deity's performance.
Although the first half was tough, later I managed to align LOT with the EA wavelength.
● Current EA forces (almost no changes since the start of the year)
All SET files have been changed for use, so please note. Therefore, results may differ from official results.
1. Utility Player https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/lBtHtMSNS3F6bfe
(SET file) operated without changes. However, differences appear by broker.
(Status)Sketched out but recovered well.
SL/TP cannot be changed, so if it falters, the impact is direct.
Parameter changes are not possible, but it is a nice EA.
2. ICL
Iam Clown FX (Red) https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/z878LMwajU1bz3c
(SET file) operated with changes. However, differences appear by broker.
(Status)Like UT, performance deteriorated in March but recently seems good again.
Similar to UT, but run with SET.
3. JIKAN-USD-A
Time is equal https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/ekRrPRnyzziBFL5
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Real trading is better than official.
SET file can be changed, so it is not beginner-friendly, but it may be a long-lasting EA.
From May, performance was not great, so switched to LOT adjustment; later recovered to normal LOT.
4. English Deity
Eikagura (eikagura) – follows a trend in GBP/JPY, riding the wind. A delicate balance of trades and DD rate yields low risk, high return. https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/Vog2DKkU1TpH4ht
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Still good. When a trend appears, it is strong, but it can be a bit hard to use. SL automatically updates!
Even if you manually cut, it may come back. Not beginner-friendly, perhaps.
SET file changes are advantageous; since the start, set files have been significantly altered, and have not changed since then.
This EA depends on you.
5. ED1
ED1 https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/LtRuvtNhQ9Nr1np
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)This month official results are poor, but in real trading not as bad.
Still not discarded, so I use reduced LOTs mid-way. It sometimes goes haywire with aggressive entries; thus cannot stop. Long history with it.
6. P-SCAL
Power_Scal https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/bbkxQjibKnKUXHo
(SET file)slightly changed for operation.
(Status)Official and real both losing. Things are getting risky. Not discarded yet, but hanging on. It performs well at times, so cannot quit a longtime EA.
7. Counter
Counter_USDJPY_M5 https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/uRMgY7I8QPIXomS
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Official and real both improved.
Increase LOT by one step. Sometimes overlaps with UT and ICL.
8. Anomaly Master
Anomaly Master https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/hQlpmFFmtp1YPEY
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)OK across other currencies; a flexible EA with many settings.
Also in use on other currencies. Looks good. As with anomaly EAs in general, be prepared for countermeasures.
9. Voyager
Voyager X JPYhttps://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/dOs6mgO5grSEwLD
(SET file) operated with minor changes (nearly none).
(Status)Official and real both favorable.
Since mid-April, a wonderful EA. Broker differences exist, so try various options.
The price is high, but it is beginner-friendly. A little ingenuity in usage is recommended; it will perform even better.
10. Moning CHF (Discontinued)
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Recently doing well, so moved to first team.
11. TOKYO
Tokyo Fixing USDJPY je https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/zA3XgFEmtSCqRN0
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)May felt a bit lacking.
April was too good, so May is in a rest state. As with anomaly EAs in general, you must operate to prepare for potential countermeasures.
12. PIPS Minor EURAUD
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Not great. 0.01 operation.
13. PIPS Minor GBPUSD
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Official and real both losing. Probably finished. 0.01 operation.
14. Moning GBP (Discontinued)
(SET file) operated with changes.
(Status)Recently excellent. Barely losing. This month’s main driver. 28 wins and 3 losses with near-daily entries.
Launched in 2020 but currently discontinued. LOT adjusted to fit the EA’s wavelength.
15. COME-BACK
ComeBack EURUSD https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/juIXxh06pPuERSq
(SET file) changed and re-operated.
(Status)Having once caused account collapse, attempting a major re-challenge with big changes. Hope this time there are no problems.
16. [University of Tokyo Method] USD/JPY “Candle Pattern” https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/4m7QwYrBR8gmMRK
(SET file) changed.
(Status)Preparing for next month’s restart.
(Status)When it takes, it takes quite a lot. Similar to English Deity. It tends to harvest.
18. ChallengeScalMorning V GBPCAD https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/QGgeovjb6Ahx87X
(SET file) changed for operation.
(Status) Official looks good. Compared to GBP pairs, PIPS might be smaller.
● Repetition-type
Oceania Brothers (annual prospective profit around 240,000 per year)
Oceania Brothers https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/lQuYRMIPX9VXcyd
(SET file) two modes: safe mode and aggressive mode
(Status)Within expected range, but many unrealized losses. Would like one more level lower.
AUD raised policy rates for the first time in 11 years, so AUD is strong. Still in range-bound mode. Watch for upward breaks closely.
● Averaging-down
This is a gradual growth strategy; essentially assumes bankruptcy, so the key is whether you can push toward ZERO operation.
Bankruptcy can be viewed as cost; it can still yield good returns.
1. WallStreetPrincess (Annual expected profit 120,000)
WallStreetPrincess https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/UhZ0WAqexUKzxxW
Operational for 5 months. BT suggests about 10,000 profit per month.
Operating with a risk-reduced SET file.
Profit exceeded 40,000, so now operating at RISK ZERO. Next step planned.
2. PEACE (Annual expected profit 300,000)
PEACE https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/qA9HRaY2WqhGO5I
SET file changed for GOLD usage.
(Status)BT expects about 20,000 monthly profit; in real trading about 30,000 monthly, so in about 3 months expect RISK ZERO.
3. Free EA Averaging
JP225 averages and discretion aiming for about 1,000,000 JPY annually. GOLD aims for about 500,000 JPY annually with DD 14, using a SET file with no changes.
JP225 combines averaging and discretion, targeting 1,000,000 JPY annually.
(Indicator-related)
Regarding indicators in general, even good indicators require filters; those who can design filters will have a strong tool.
You must create your own rules for the indicators!
● Heaven and Earth Indicator (Heaven and Earth dots + automatic take profit / Heaven and Earth histogram + automatic take profit / Heaven and Earth oscillator + line) https://www.gogojungle.co.jp/re/BRdGOpdggepDc0a
Not sure if beginners can truly understand, though.
Using the included manual as a filter is hard for me, so I use a bespoke filter. I only use the Heaven and Earth indicator portion to view JP225, GOLD, and GBP. Signals appear well, but if you ride everything, you will crash.
The author recommends 15-minute charts, but I personally avoid being bound to a chart, so I use 60 minutes or higher. Since indicators require watching, I seldom use them for freedom's sake (except when I stumble upon a signal).
(This month's word)
I am fully transitioning to FX-EA strategies that do not interfere with overseas travel.
Recently, I am less interested in indicators. I am currently testing averaging-down EAs.
Using averaging-down EAs as just averaging-down would lead to bankruptcy; I am trying to use them in a different way.
Currency-bound or SET files that cannot be changed are excluded, but EAs with significant SET file changes enable many usage methods.
What remains are paid PEACE. Free averaging-down EAs, NPNM, are superior. I think averaging-down EAs are enough with these two.
You can work with currencies, GOLD, JP225, etc., combining the averaging-down role and discretionary use.
Conversely, I am less attracted to repeat-type (Oceania-type) EAs as in the past (though I still use them).
1-position EA forces should set LOTs to blend with the EA wavelength without stress, for long-term viability.
