EA’s Real Account Operating Status - March 2022
We deliver the EA report for March 2022.
Real account operation status of EAs for March 2022
● My conditions for using EAs
1. I exclude EAs that do not show a recovery after losses. An EA that can recover a single loss within 3 to 4 trades. I also exclude EAs with low monthly trading frequency.
2. Depending on the EA, Mondays often have poor performance, so I manage the operation with that in mind.
3. If the official GoGoJungle shows good results but real performance is poor, I sometimes switch brokers to test.
4. If an EA seems to be deteriorating (likely to form a Mount Fuji shape), I identify it early and reduce LOTs.
(Overall EA status for March)
The arrangement of EAs has remained almost the same as January and February.
There were Russia-related issues, but it seems to be a relatively good month for EAs.
While January and February yielded PIPS or more,March can be summarized as a month where PIPS were won but LOT management caused a failure.
(When the first-string EAs lose and second-string EAs win, it looks like this)
● Current running EAs status
1. UT (Utility Player) ☆☆☆
(SET file) Operating without changes. But differences appear depending on the broker.
(Status) Started deteriorating from March.
Cannot modify SL/TP, so when performance deteriorates it hits directly. It might be interesting if SLs are opened.
Operate with lower LOT. This EA feels not great because parameters cannot be changed.
2. ICL (I am Clown) ☆☆☆
(SET file) Operating with changes.
(Status) Like UT, performance deteriorated from March, but perhaps better than UT.
However, entries for this EA and UT overlap, so one of them should be chosen.
3. JIKAN-USD-A (Time is Equal) ☆☆☆☆
(SET file) Operating with changes.
(Status) Real account is better than official.
According to the author, with some tweaking it becomes excellent. If not tweaked, it may be inferior...
Broker differences also appear here.
4. Kyo Shingaku) ☆☆☆
(SET file) Operating with changes.
(Status) Official is good in March, but on average parameter changes yield better results. When a trend appears, this EA is strong, but somewhat hard to use.
In the past there were manual exits, but recently it has been running automatically. Parameter changes seem currently advantageous.
There was a VER-UP recently, but I am intentionally using the old VER.
5. ED1 ☆
(SET file) Operating with changes.
(Status) Official is good, but the real performance diverges, making it hard to understand.
Lowering LOT and experimenting. It is winning but not satisfactory.
I am using it, but I do not recommend it.
6. P-SCAL ☆☆☆
(SET file) Some changes and operation.
(Status) Official and real both feel good.
Often overlaps with ED1, so this one feels more stable.
7. Tokyo University EA
Cannot modify SET file. Starting verification.
8. Counter
Only SL and TP can be changed. Starting verification.
9. Anomaly Master
SET file changes OK. Also supports multiple currencies, allowing various settings.
Verification started
● PIPS Minor EURAUD ☆
(SET file) Operating with changes.
(Status) Not very good.
● PIPS Minor GBPUSD ☆
Pattern A became a bit tough, but continued use; pattern B is under verification
Lowered lot and continuing. Official results have been good recently.
● Repeater system (now the most stable)
Aussie Brothers (composed of two modes: Safe mode and Aggressive mode) is progressing smoothly. Egoist-AUZNZD is also good.
But the Aussie system might carry a bit less risk from BT perspective.
Operating with SET files that reduce risk.
So far following the scenario, it is now in Phase 1 CL. After growing to Phase 3, it will be terminated for a while.
Policy rates suggest a wide range continues, but due to the war issue AUD remains strong due to resources.
We are watching for any upward break with caution.
We determine the maximum DD over 7 years from BT, and aim for no bankruptcy as a basic principle.
(Operational guideline) For 0.1 LOT, aim for a monthly profit of 20,000 to 25,000 JPY with a DD of 400,000.
● N-Tier WallStreetPrincess (also performing well)
Three months of operation since January. Operating with a risk-reducing SET file.
Proceeding as planned, now in Phase 1 CL. After reaching Phase 4, it will be terminated for a while.
N-tier levels are six layers, so be prepared. Officially, the levels are 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6.
We estimate a 7-year maximum DD from BT, with no bankruptcy as the basic rule.
(Status) Recently there was a small death on the official, but it has not occurred in real, so it is progressing smoothly.
(Operational guideline) Starting from an initial value of 0.01 for each n-ner, target about 60,000 DD per month to aim around 6,000 JPY. The rest mainly depends on LOT.
This EA works not only for AUDNZD but also for other currencies.
■ EA portfolio for long-term operation
In terms of EAs, it stabilizes with four major categories.
A repeat-type like Aussie Brothers for yearly consistency, and a variant of WALL-ST for hedging)
Aiming to combine anomaly-type monthly with several good single-position EAs for stability.
Therefore I try not to raise LOT just because one single-position EA is performing well.
Negative PIPS on the monthly EA portfolio is very bad. (Target PIPS is 1000 per month)
■ Future initiatives
For repeat-type and hedging-type, I plan to explore horizontal expansion following scenarios with multiple EAs instead of sticking to one EA.
Even if some will fail, I want to mix in hedging-type EAs that were avoided before.
If it’s not just a hedging EA, it depends on how you use it.
I am thinking about discovering interesting uses.
Ultimately it comes down to overall risk management.
I hope to use it when expanding in Thailand.
■ How to choose EAs
Lately I think maybe one author per EA is better.
There seems to be better EAs among those who publish fewer items.
Many listings feel like just aiming to sell, so I look at this aspect when evaluating.
This might be the most important: pick authors who clearly indicate REAL performance and answer questions promptly.
