Start Bitcoin (virtual currency / crypto currency): Part 3
Start Bitcoin (virtual currency, cryptocurrency): Part 3
Let's get Bitcoin.
Hello everyone.
Sorry for the digression, but the Japan national football team vs Iraq this Thursday was amazing, wasn’t it?
As usual (sorry to say), they were equalized and
they pushed forward in a frantic attack, but couldn’t score, a typical scenario.
I wonder if it will end like this
but then in a dramatic stoppage time, a shot was scored.
It's only the third match, but it feels like a narrow escape.
Still, Japan is fourth among six teams; to be in the top two or to be third and win two playoffs
we have to do more, so it’s still early. Let’s root for the away game against Australia on the 11th.
With that said, back to the main topic.
We titled this “Let's get Bitcoin,” but
there are several ways to obtain Bitcoin.
■ Mine on your own PC.
■ Receive it.
■ Accept it as payment for goods or services.
■ Buy it.
and so on….
【Mining Bitcoin on your own PC】
If you mine using the power of your own computer,
you will earn Bitcoin accordingly. From official sites and overseas
forums and message boards, download specialized mining software
and just run it, but…
it isn’t highly recommended.
Because,
“there are too many rivals” and “electricity costs are too high in Japan,”
making it unprofitable.
Overseas rivals
use
“specialized PCs (or specialized devices)”
“mining software optimized by their own programming,”
in a region with cheap electricity
and they run hundreds of units simultaneously.
【Receiving Bitcoin for free】
There are several ways to receive Bitcoin,
ranging from things like the classic allowance sites
to sites that pay a certain amount per visit when you search,
and so on.
However, based on the author’s experience, the amounts are really small
so it might be better to work a part-time job and buy with the hourly wage you earned
when you can, but you can still receive a little bit, which is nice.
【Receiving Bitcoin as payment for goods or services】
There are sites on the internet where you can buy and sell things online.
When you sell something, if you specify that you want to receive payment in Bitcoin…
However, Bitcoin isn’t yet widely adopted domestically,
so this method is more practical when you’re dealing internationally, such as when auctioning or trading overseas.
.
That said, there may not be many such opportunities.
I think more sites like that will appear in the future.
【Buying Bitcoin】
For now, this seems the safest option domestically.
In Japan there are companies that operate “cryptocurrency exchanges” much like FX brokers,
and you can open an account there, deposit money,
and purchase (and of course sell) at your preferred timing within your budget.
Account opening itself is done by creating an account with an email address and password, and
verification documents are used to enable trading, so most of it can be completed online in about five to ten minutes.
That’s about it.
Next time I would like to write about exchanges and how to open accounts when actually buying.
To be continued.
End.
