We aim to maintain and sustain Tokyo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s rotary machine business for the long term, and we also recognize that securing a skilled workforce is essential when expanding into new businesses. We intend to strongly oppose the retirement of 61 employees of Tokyo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. We stated on December 8, 2021, on our website in the disclosure titled “Notice of added questions and the sending of responses to the questions after the website disclosure by Tokyo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.” that we would decide on a concrete policy regarding the convocation of an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders for the purposes of appointing or removing directors, after awaiting Tokyo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s responses to the additional questions. Furthermore, as the top shareholder holding 32.72% of the shares, we would like to engage in dialogue with the current management of the company, and we will again wait for Tokyo Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s response to this document and then make a concrete decision.
