“Featured in Toyo Keizai ONLINE” I was lazing at home for about two months.
Good morning, this is Matsushita.
Actually, from mid-August to mid-October,
I was in a kind of hermit state for about two months.
The reason is that, as a new project,
the release of an electronic book on stock investing was decided,
and I urgently focused on writing the manuscript.
The stock investment book has been a goal for several years,
and it has finally become a reality in this form,
with it coming together.
Writing a book manuscript, for the first time in about six years,
was a task I approached with some anxiety.
However, once I started, I was surprised to find
this was the shortest and most concentrated writing I have done so far,
and the content turned out to be satisfactory.
Most people in the world
will never have the opportunity to publish their own book in their lifetime,
so you may not understand, but
writing a manuscript of several hundred pages from scratch
is an extremely painful process.
Writers, painters, lyricists, composers,
and other creators across different fields
understand the pain of creation.
Sometimes it literally feels like your soul is being shaved away.
This time speed was also required, so
from when I started the manuscript in August,
I postponed all other work,
and focused solely on writing the manuscript.
In the morning I wake up, write the newsletter,
and after the calisthenics and stretches are finished,
I begin drafting the manuscript.
Except for meals and the afternoon exercises,
I write the manuscript from wakefulness until sleep.
To complete a single book,
there is a strong urge to devote all my thoughts to this book
during that period.
Because when concentration wanes,
I have to dive back into the content from scratch,
recalling the continuity and the narrative
that I need to maintain.
People often see best-selling authors living in a hotel room,
and I understand that feeling well.
Apart from writing, I want to do nothing else.
Actually, when I wrote my third book previously,
I stayed four days at the Imperial Hotel in Osaka
and kept writing the manuscript.
I just want to focus on the manuscript;
that is the feeling of writing a book.
So this time as well, I hardly met anyone,
didn't go outside, and stayed shut away. (laughs)
Only the lectures at the school in between,
I attended properly.
Thanks to that, I was able to produce the manuscript in the shortest time yet,
with a fulfilling and highly satisfactory content.
The manuscript, which I imagined as 150 pages,
turned out to be nearly 190 pages when finished.
Although I wrote a manuscript,
in the editing process more than 30 pages were trimmed.
Having locked myself in the room like that,
while thinking of the faces of individual investors nationwide,
the electronic book written for readers will be released soon.
Design work has already progressed,
and including the writing, editing, and verification,
I have already read the finished manuscript five times or more.
As the author, I am
the first reader.
Right now, the knowledge and theories, skills and power I possess in stock investment,
and what readers who are individual investors need,
I have encompassed all of the simple and essential elements.
I believe this is a book that everyone who has not yet achieved profits in stock investing
should read.
It will be released soon,
and I think I will be able to notify you about it,
so please look forward to it.
This book is, after all, the one I wrote during two months of seclusion.
This is the book I wrote while hermiting for two months.
